The Birch Lane Montessori Program was developed in 2000 through a collaborative effort among parents, teachers, and administrators of the Davis Joint Unified School District and members of the Davis Montessori community. The philosophical tenets of this model have become a wonderful complement to existing DJUSD programs.

During its first year, the program served 80 students in 4 classrooms, grades K-3. Currently we have an enrollment of 240 students in grades K-6, with 8 Montessori classrooms. Birch Lane School and the Davis Joint Unified School District are dedicated to providing a high quality Montessori program in a public school setting.
