School Loop is a web-based communication system for K-12 learning communities. School Loop was designed with the intent of helping individuals stay in the loop regarding school and district news and events. School Loop is a place where our students and their families can access important information regarding a teacher’s classroom and keep up with events at their school sites, and it also serves as students' online cloud storage system for work so they can access it from anywhere they have a connection to the Internet, using their DJUSD account login.
At the Elementary School level, grades TK through 6, School Loop provides websites for all school sites, teachers and staff. Teachers may publish websites and use the School Loop communication tools to communicate with students. Students have access to their School Loop portal where they may communicate with their teacher, discuss projects with classmates, and store their work in their School Loop locker. At this initial implementation phase, parents do not register for portal access for students at the elementary level, and do not participate in LoopMail. Teacher-to-parent email is managed through the district student information system.
At the Secondary School level, grades 7 through 12, School Loop not only provides websites for all school sites, teachers and staff and the same robust portal system for students described above, it also serves as the electronic gradebook for secondary teachers. Parents who register for School Loop accounts receive daily email updates from their students schools and teachers. For more information, visit the Parents' Page in these support pages. Additionally, School Loop provides visibility and communication to members of a student’s educational team, including teachers, administrators, parent/guardians, counselors, staff members, as well as after school support professionals. Information regarding student progress is available to the team at any time from any device with an Internet connection.
The School Loop Help materials are linked and referenced extensively throughout this website and in trainings and course materials. They are excellent, and the search function on their help home page is highly effective in supporting its wide variety of users. Please consult them for any School Loop need you may have. For any questions regarding accounts and access to your student's information, please contact your school site administrative office. We suggest use of the browsers Firefox, Chrome or Safari while accessing School Loop.
