Business & Financial Services

The Business Services Division coordinates contracted services, interacts with outside agencies and financial institutions, and prepares and presents board, community and staff reports. Business Services also conducts financial, operational, performance, and compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and the efficiency of operations. It also serves as the liaison between the District and external auditors. The office coordinates sale of TRANs and bonds and proper administration of tax revenues.

The Department of Fiscal Services has five separate operations: financial services, payroll services, account payables, budgeting and student attendance. Fiscal services ensures the District complies with state laws and regulations regarding financial accountability and reporting. It also oversees budget development, financial reporting, accounts payable, student attendance accounting, annual audits and payroll processing and disbursement. The department is responsible for developing and implementing plans to address control weaknesses and other audit findings, as well as assisting in the development of accounting and auditing procedures.
