Intent to Enroll

expired

Thank you for your interest in Davis Joint Unified School District. During the school year, the enrollment process begins at the student’s school by boundary (also known as neighborhood or residence school).  When the school sites are closed during the summer months, submission of a complete Intent to Enroll form to our district office serves as an indication of your intent to enroll your child. *Please note that the Da Vinci Academy conducts its own application process. Please direct inquiries to the school office: 530-757-5154.

THE INTENT TO ENROLL PROCESS

Once you secure your Davis residence, enter the address in the DJUSD boundary locator: http://www.djusd.net/district/street.  Please make sure you indicate full address (i.e. 1212 Orchard Park Circle) so that the locator can access the school site information.

  1. Complete an Intent to Enroll form
  1. Submit the Intent to Enroll form  to DJUSD in one of the following ways:

              a. Drop off:   Monday through Friday 8am to 3pm, at the district office: 526 B Street, Davis, CA 95616
              b. Mail:   ATTN: Instructional Services, DJUSD 526 B Street, Davis, CA 95616
              c. FAX:   (530) 757-5323 - ATTN: Instructional Services

You must register at your boundary school in order to complete the enrollment process. The Intent to Enroll form does not guarantee a placement. Date of receipt of the form may also be used to prioritize registration once the school offices open.

  • Secondary
  • enrollment/registration begins on August 2, 2011  (Davis Senior High and the junior high schools).
  • Elementary
  • enrollment/registration begins on August 10, 2011.

Parents who do not live in Davis but wish to transfer their child to a DJUSD school site must go to their district of residence to file an Inter-district Transfer application.  If the district of residence approves the request, the application is then sent to DJUSD by the district of residence and will be considered on a case by case basis.

Proof of residency will be required in order to enroll your students at the school sites.  A physical examination completed within 12 months of enrollment and up-to-date immunizations are required prior to beginning school.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Each of our elementary school sites hosts a Child Development Center. This is a separate entity from the district, an organization that runs summer programs as well as before and after care during the regular school year. Some locations offer school readiness/preschool programs.
