Special Education Services provides instruction to meet a child's unique needs. A federal law called the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act says that all eligible school-aged children and youth with disabilities are entitled to receive a free appropriate public education.
The Special Education department works closely with the Instructional Support Operations, Educational Placement and Screening and Assessment to help provide information, resources, and opportunities, and respond to teachers' needs, concerns, and ideas.
