Professional Growth

Please complete the following if you are interested in holding a Collaborative Common Core Professional Growth Session.  Teams can apply for 3-6 hours.  Per requirements of this funding, time must be spent on Implementation of the Common Core State Standards in the areas of English Language Arts, English Language Development, Mathematics, and Next Generation Science Standards.  Teachers not assigned to one of these content areas are encouraged to look for links to their department such as Reading Standards for Informational Text; Writing Standards for Technical Subjects; and Speaking and Listening. 

 

Staff will be paid at their daily rate per the negotiated professional development days for work conducted outside contract hours. Staff who has exhausted their negotiated days will be paid at the professional development rate of $41/hour.  In order to receive payment, teams must submit an agenda, sign-in sheet, time & attendance tracker sheet, meeting notes that include the target standards and a description of methods used to measure progress towards targeted standards, and any final product.  Applications are due by November 18, 2016.  Collaboration and work, Attendance & Time Tracker sheets along with completed work are due by May 1, 2016.
