Public Information Office


The Public Information Office is a part of the Office of the Superintendent. DJUSD's Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for directing and managing all District communications and public relations while ensuring strategies are in alignment with the District’s vision, mission and goals.  The primary functions include:

Centralized Emergency Communications

Providing accurate, consistent and timely information disseminated to appropriate audiences in urgent situations

Media Contact and Support

Acting as the primary media contact and official spokesperson for the district, managing publicity and public relations consultation to site and program administrators

DJUSD News and Information

Developing and enhancing a communications network within the district and community; disseminating diverse information about School Board policies, programs and services, objectives and innovations through multiple channelsFacebook page, and to our DJUSD Parent Broadcasts; facilitating open communication and understanding of DJUSD programs and services, as well as intiatives, innovations and accomplishment. Beginning in the 2017-2018 school year, the Office of Public information will be heading up DJUSD website improvements. 

Strategic Communications Support
