Superintendent's Message

Dear DJUSD,

Welcome to the Davis Joint Unified School District’s website.  As you explore these pages to learn more about our schools, programs and departments, I trust that you will gain a strong sense of our commitment to grant every student access to quality educational program.  

As Superintendent it is my goal to build and support learning environments in which every student’s unique assets, skills and qualities are recognized, valued and developed.

In our classrooms you will find knowledgeable and compassionate teachers who are dedicated to providing each student rich and engaging instruction.   A talented classified support staff is equally devoted to the social and academic success of our students.  DJUSD maintains a learning focus that is student- centered, teacher- driven, principal- guided and District- supported.  This collaborative culture is inspired by our ongoing pursuit to improve the quality of our work.  

Our Mission and Goals are upheld by the policies and decision making of a five members Board whose values are reflected in the quality educational program that Davis students receive.   Parents, community members and foundation partners are also instrumental in the success of our District; each of these groups generously supports Davis schools through financial contributions and volunteer services.  Ongoing community support is a hallmark of the Davis Joint Unified School District.
