Single Plan for Student Achievement 2010-11
The Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) is a plan of actions to raise the academic performance of all students to the level of performance goals established under the California Academic Performance Index. California Education Code sections 41507, 41572, and 64001 and the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) require each school to consolidate all school plans for programs funded through the School and Library Improvement Block Grant, the Pupil Retention Block Grant, the Consolidated Application, and NCLB Program Improvement into the Single Plan for Student Achievement.
2010-11 LEAP with Addendum (list of current actions begin on page 82)
The original DJUSD Local Educational Agency Plan was written in 2002-03 in accordance with the requirements of No Child Left Behind legislation. Annually updated, the LEAP addresses five goals established in NCLB: 1. All students will reach proficiency or better in reading/ language arts and mathematics. 2. All English learners will become proficient in English, and reach proficiency in reading/language arts and math. 3. All students will be taught by highly qualified teachers. 4. All students will be taught in learning environments that are safe, drug-free and conducive to learning. 5. All students will graduate from high school. The LEAP Addendum holds the priority actions that will be addressed each year. The 2010-2011 Addendum begins on page 82 of the LEAP document. The district would like to thank the dedicated members of the 2009-2010 Targeted Assistance Group, who generously provided ideas and feedback in this year’s LEAP process.
