Intradistrict Transfers

The District Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Intradistrict Transfers
Intradistrict Transfer refers to currently actively enrolled DJUSD students who would like to transfer to another DJUSD school. Priority for Intradistrict Transfers is as follows:

  1. Students who want to transfer to their neighborhood/boundary school.
  2. Siblings of students currently in attendance at the requested school.
  3. Students whose parent/guardian works for DJUSD.
  4. New request for transfer to a non-boundary school.

Da Vinci: Only Davis resident students may submit an Intradistrict transfer request form, (as well as current proof of a Davis address) as Da Vinci is a charter school which does not require proof of Davis residency to enroll/attend. Non-Davis residence enrolled at Da Vinci wanting another DJUSD school will need to follow the steps for an Interdistrict Transfer.

Intradistrict Transfer requests are approved based upon space availability in the requested grade level and program (including Special Education) at the requested school.  Please know that we cannot provide which school or which grades have space as enrollment is constantly changing. Parents/Guardians will be notified by email only when space becomes available and the transfer can be approved.  Parents/Guardians will be given a timeline to accept or decline the transfer. Waitlists are monitored and maintained throughout the school year but do NOT roll over to the next year if not approved.  A student must be actively enrolled and attending school to be on the waitlist.

Transfer requests for grades TK-9 are submitted to Enrollment Specialist, Korlyn Gibson at [email protected]. For Grades 10-12, please contact the counseling department at your current school of attendance. Questions may be submitted to  [email protected]. You may also drop off the form at the district office (526 B street) Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or in the secure mail slot after hours.

2026-27 Intradistrict Transfer Request Form

Note:
If a transfer request from the current school year cannot be  approved, it does not roll over to the next year.  A new transfer form will need to be submitted if a student/family still wishes to transfer to a different DJUSD school.
