State Superintendent Thurmond Joins us for First Day

state superintendent thurmondThe first day of school included a special visit from State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond, who joined us at two DJUSD campuses to see firsthand the learning and opportunities happening across our district.

At North Davis Elementary, Superintendent Thurmond toured our new early education facilities and spent time with TK students and teachers, highlighting our investment in our youngest learners. He then visited Davis Senior High School, where students from Citrus Circuits showcased their award-winning robotics program and demonstrated the technical, engineering, leadership and teamwork skills they are developing through career-connected learning.
