"My time at Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling was very enjoyable. Not only did I leave with more work experience, I learned a new drafting software. I also overcame a fear by presenting to the entire crew which would comment and give constructive criticism on my plans based off their professional knowledge. This experience will make me more confident when seeking internships in the future and has expanded my drafting knowledge. "

Below are bathroom plans for a current bathroom in the building. Valeria drafted up a remodel plan.

"Overall, my experiences have helped me realize that while I am still drawn to the fast-paced nature of Emergency Medicine, my time in the ICU opened my eyes to another path that aligns closely with my interests and strengths. The guidance I received from experienced nurses and my first hand exposure to different units have been invaluable in shaping my perspective. As I continue to explore the medical field, I am excited to further learn, shadow, and discover where I can make the greatest impact while doing work I truly enjoy."

"Through this experience, I was able to familiarize myself with the clinical environment, patient interactions, and optical procedure. I learned to document eye exams in ExamWRITER, administer pretests through autorefractor and tonometer machines, and conduct visual acuity tests. Prior to this internship, I was considering a career in a hospital environment as a radiological technician, registered nurse, or pharmacist. However, this experience made me realize I wanted to work in a smaller clinical environment, solidifying my choice to become an optometrist."
