Student Medical and Accident Insurance



The health, safety and well-being of our students are priorities for Davis Joint Unified School District. While students are required to have medical insurance coverage or student accident insurance to play on any athletic team, we want to inform you that we do not provide medical or dental insurance coverage for injuries sustained on school premises, during school activities, or while participating in athletics. 

If your family does not have insurance coverage for your student(s), there are options outlined below (flyers in English and Spanish also attached) to secure this coverage for your family.


Here are a few options to consider so that your family is covered:

  1. You may be eligible for Medi Cal coverage.  Please visit this site to learn more about the eligibility requirements and how to apply.

  2. You may sign up for voluntary student accident insurance that complies with California Education Code which provides several options of coverage at a low cost.  Click the link, search for your school site and follow the instructions.
