2021 Open Enrollment Period is: September 16 - October 21

Open enrollment is the time to modify your existing health plan, or add benefit coverage you didn't have before. Any changes made during open enrollment are for your 2021 benefits, as those operate on a calendar year, January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021. Outside of the open enrollment period staff can't modify their benefit plan unless there is a 'life changing event.' Examples of life changing events: marriage, loss of job/coverage, death, birth of child.

Employees that submit (electronic applications through links below) will have their health benefits effective January 1, 2021. If you are new to the district, your benefits can start earlier, as long as you enroll soon after hire date. If you have any questions, please contact Benefits Technician, Oscar Alcocer.

Please be sure to attend our 2020 Virtual Benefit Fair, Aug 31 - Sept. 3 to learn about your options for 2021.

Open Enrollment 2020-21

Open Enrollment is a time to be able to change your Vision, Dental and/or Health Plans. Changes to plans are not available outside of the open enrollment period, unless you have a life changing event. Examples of life changing events include birth of child, divorce, marriage, or adoption. These changes are effective 01/01/2020. Please see rates below within "Health Enrollment Forms and Rates" below.

Important information to know:

If you make no changes during Open Enrollment, you will still see changes on your paycheck.  New rate plans are effective January 1, and almost all premiums will change, increasing or decreasing.  School year (10-month) employees will see the rate change in the September end of month paycheck (on September 28). This is when the rates are blended, or averaged, over the school year.  All other (11 and 12- month) employees will see the health care deduction adjusted on the December end of month paycheck. For additional rate comparisons and calculations of blended rates, please see the "Health Enrollment Forms and Rates" section below.
