Fencing Projects in DJUSD

As part of the Bond Program funding, the Davis Board of Education has prioritized a total of  $3 million for fencing projects across DJUSD school sites. The goal of these projects is to improve safety and access control, by deterring pedestrian traffic across school grounds during school hours and limiting the number of entry points to campus.

Phase One Fencing Projects
At the DJUSD Board of Education meeting on 9/5/2024, the Board approved the conceptual fencing plans for Willett and North Davis elementary schools. Construction is expected to begin Fall/Winter 2024.

Though originally slated for Phase One, the davis Senior High School fencing project will be revisited at a later date, as construction on the Aquatic Center is nearing completion. This will allow the District to better understand the impact of the new facilities on the flow of pedestrian traffic at DSHS. You can view the original presentation here
